Article #131: NS 740 w/ Erie Heritage Unit #1068 Trailing Catawba, NC (July 16, 2026)
In this new article, we will be going over NS 740 at Catawba, NC back on July 16. 2026. The train had four units. On the head end of the train, AC44C6M 4921 and SD70ACe 1068 (Erie Heritage Unit) led the way, and AC44C6M 4910 was on the rear pushing. The train ran westbound from Salisbury, NC en route to Catawba. Once the train got to Catawba, the train ended up going the other direction into the Catawba lead track to head into the Marshall steam station.
