Article #126: Norfolk & Western Caboose #518675 NC Transportation Museum Spencer, NC (May 16, 2026)

In this new article, we are taking a look at Norfolk & Western Railway class C-31 cupola caboose #518675 at the NC Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC back on May 16, 2026. 

This caboose is in the blue and yellow paint scheme of the N&W. This paint scheme was active on the railroad between 1966 and 1971. The type of blue on this caboose is known as Pelver Blue. Herman Pelver was Wabash Railroad president until taking over the N&W in 1963. That led to the blue paint of the Wabash being carried over to the N&W.
