Article #92: DuPont Tanker #6826 North Carolina Transportation Museum (May 17, 2025)

 

In this new article we will be taking a look at DuPont tanker #6826 at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC. 

This tanker was built in either the 1958 while at the same time some other sources say 1965 where it was built by AC&F Industries to transport various chemicals like paints and plastics. DuPont eventually retired these tankers due to older friction bearing trucks. 

The tanker was donated to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in 1991.
