Article #79: NS 745 w/ ES44AC 8060, BNSF D9-44CW 5695 & D9-40CW 9043 Hickory, NC (April 18, 2014)

 

In this new article we will be taking a look at NS 745 empty coal train heading through Hickory, NC westbound back on April 28, 2014. The power for the train this day consisted of ES44AC 8060, BNSF D9-44CW 5695 and D9-40CW 9043. 745 originates out of Plant Marshall in Terrell, NC and runs up the Catawba Lead Track which ends up connecting with the Asheville District S-Line at Catawba. Back then 745 ran to its terminating point at Williamson, West Virginia by running westbound on the S-Line towards Asheville, NC and beyond. This train came fifteen minutes after 135 on this day.
