Article #77: NS 162 w/ D9-40C 8884 + D8-40CW 8350 & GP38-2 5563 East Oyama Hickory, NC (September 4, 2013)

 

In this new article we are looking at NS 162 eastbound through Hickory, NC back on September 4, 2013. The train this day had a four-unit lineup consisting of D9-40C 8884, SD70M-2 2759, D8-40CW 8350 and GP38-2 5563. The train made a stop at the east end of the yard for a meet with westbound manifest 135. After the meet, the train made its way towards Salisbury, NC where it would terminate near Spencer, which is not that far from Salisbury.
