Article #73: NS 96Q w/ Training First Responders GP38-2 5642 East Oyama Yard Hickory, NC (February 14, 2025)

 

In this new article we get a look at NS 96Q heading into the yard lead track at the east end of Oyama Yard in Hickory, NC on February 14, 2020. 96Q ran frequently on the S-Line between 2018 and 2020. For a short time in February, it had the Training First Responders GP38-2 5642. On this day, the train originated put of Oyama Yard and ran up to Catawba, NC to pick up a some empty coal cars and gondola's.
