Article #65: NS P60 w/ ES44AC's 8015 & 8082 Newton, NC (August 22. 2025)

 

In this new article we get a look at NS P60 heading eastbound through Newton, NC back in August 22 with ES44AC;s 8015 and 8082. P60 runs daily between Oyama Yard in Hickory, NC and Salisbury, NC. The train went by Newton after 5 pm around 5:20. GE power like the ES44AC's are very common on this train.  This spot is located at Milepost 48 which is about five miles out from Oyama. The track in the foreground is the former Carolina & Northwestern line from Chester, SC to Lenoir, NC. Local P95 uses that stretch of track for one mile delivering to a nearby mill.
