Article #63: NS 741 w/ Nickel Plate Heritage Unit 8100 Catawba, NC (August 8, 2025)

                                  

This past Friday evening, NS 741 made it's run between Catawba, NC and Salisbury, NC with the Nickel Plate heritage unit #8100 on the lead out of the Marshall steam station near Terrell, NC.  741 runs between Catawba, NC and Shire Oaks, PA. In the photo above we see the train backing out onto the mainline from the lead track of the steam station.

ES44AC 8036 was the trailing unit behind the 8100.
