Article #58: NS 744 at Statesville, NC w/AC44C6M 4118 Pushing On the Rear (September 3, 2022)

 

In this new article we are looking at NS 744 loaded coal train by Statesville, NC with AC44C6M 4118 pushing on the rear. 

744 originates in Williamson, West Virginia and runs up to Linwood Yard near Spencer, NC. It runs on the Asheville District between Salisbury, NC and Catawba, NC.

 It then runs up to the Marshall steam station near Sherills Ford, NC. The train usually has three or four engines in total, one or two on the point and or on the rear. Here the train is around Milepost 24.
