Article #43: Norfolk Southern Railway Bay Window Caboose #387 NC Transportation Museum (May 15, 2021)

 

In this new article we get a look at this Norfolk Southern Railway bay window caboose #387 at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC on May 15th, 2021. In 1937, this caboose was built from an old boxcar at the railroad's shops. This caboose was donated to the town of Spencer and then to the state of North Carolina in 1986. Here, the caboose is sitting in the roundhouse.
