Article #9: AWESOME Savannah & Atlanta HERITAGE UNIT 1065 leads NS 94Z Herzog Train Hickory NC (August 29, 2021)

 

In this new article we are looking at a run through train that went by in August 2021. It was NS 94Z which was a ballast train that ran from Salisbury to Asheville on the S-Line. The train had a lashup of 3 units. The lead unit was the Savannah & Atlanta Heritage Unit 1065. This was a rare occurrence because this was over a year after all of the changes were made as far run through trains being eliminated on this route. The other two locomotives were 9780 and 9371.
