Article #23: NS P60 Power w/ ES40DC 7544 & SD60E 6995 Oyama Yard Hickory, NC (November 30th, 2024)

 

In this new article we are looking at the power for NS P60 which runs from Oyama Yard to Linwood Yard and back and here it has ES40DC 7544 and SD60E 6995. The spot that we see the locomotives sitting in here is where they usually sit. Going back to when P60 originally ran between Oyama and Linwood, SD60E's were very common in years like 2017,2018 and 2019. P60 then ran between Barber Junction and Oyama in May and June 2020 before having the Asheville to Oyama route the next month. In September 2024 due to the impact of the hurricane in the Asheville and Old Fort areas, P60 was rerouted back to its original route.
