Article #17: NS 945 Work Train w/ D9-40CW 9638 Eastbound by Hickory, NC (January 17, 2020)

 

In this new article we see another train on January 17th 2020 and it was a eastbound work train 945 by Hickory, NC heading towards Salisbury, NC with D9-40CW 9638. This train originated out of Asheville and picked up cars in passing sidings as the train went along. It picked up cars from passing sidings in Morganton and Drexel, NC. 

Here is a back view of 9638 with some orange Southern Railway boxcars behind it.

The green boxcars are solar energy boxcars. Those cars were picked up at Morganton.

Here we see some Maintenance of Way equipment on some flat cars.
