Article #7: NS 135 w/ Go Rail SD60E 6963 Trailing (May 8, 2020)

 

In this new article we are looking at NS 135 westbound back on May 8, 2020. This run of the train was the last one from Salisbury to Asheville, NC as a lot of changes took place after this. Run through trains ran on the Asheville District for many years and this train would be the last run through train to run on the line when you look at a consistent schedule. Since that time, there have been some run through trains that have gone by, but it has not been consistent. This lashup consisted of ET44AC 3620, AC44C6M 4106, Go Rail SD60E 6963 and ES40DC 7667. The photo above show it going through Conover, NC at Milepost S52.

Here is the train entering the area of Oyama Yard. The train shortly after this dropped off two cars in the yard.

This is at Milepost S56 as the train departs for Asheville.
