Article #3: NS 135 Westbound MP15E 2430 Trailing 5th (March 26, 2020)

 

This new article is all about a train that was seen back in March 2020. It was NS 135 westbound manifest from Linwood Yard near Spencer, NC with a 5 unit lashup entering the area of Oyama Yard in Hickory, NC with AC44C6M 4032, SD60E 6968, ES44AC 8027, D9-40CW 9306 and MP15E 2430. The MP15E's have not usually ran in this area on the Asheville District, so this was a rare thing. This was when 135 switched Oyama Yard by dropping off cars for the two local trains that run out of Oyama Yard, those being P71 and P95. 135 ran between Linwood Yard and Asheville, NC and eventually into Tennessee.
